I just got the date for my driving test - 8th of Oct - and don't know if I'll be ready for it or not. Just want to know whats the protocal for deferrring. If I do defer how long will I have to wait for next appointment and will it cost.

you can cancel/defer yer test twice at no extra cost (or you used to, I assume that hasnt changed with the price increase)

as long as you ring BEFORE 10 days to yer test date.

i was told on the phone I'd be put on the list again - you can always request a cancellation date or something but that could easily be a few days after yer first test was due; up to you.
