Just wondering what other people thought of the 2 part drama Wuthering Heights that finished last night. I thought it was fantastic with Tom Hardy who played Heathcliff superb in his role, bring the passion and Cruelty displayed in the book to life. Brought me back to my school days.

Have to agree there - thought Tom Hardy's take on Heathcliff actually made me feel sympathy for the miserable, vengeful sod. More than the book ever did! He really was magnetic - he was so evil and vindictive in parts (esp with Miss Linton) and had this awful glaring stare when his eyes nearly popped out but then his reaction to Cathy's death was so convincingly sad. Have to say much better than Ralph Fiennes version.

Still think Heathcliff is one of the most horrible characters ever written and still can't figure him out :-)

I didn't get to see the whole lot of it but loved what I did see.
Really loved the novel in school was nice to see this.
Loved Tom Hardy as Heathcliff, thought he was fantastic. :)

Great stuff entirely, I was worried it was going to be crap, but it was excellent. Cathy was brilliant and I agree that Heathcliff came across more sympathetically than in the novel and other versions. The moors scenery was really well done, both when it was gloomy and sunny.

I never thought of Heathcliff as horrible, more a tortured soul.....poor Heathcliff:)

I loved it, sure it was very different from the book, but it worked. The casting was amazing, Charlotte Riley & Tom Hardy were incredible as Cathy & Heathcliff.
I pre-ordered it the day after part II aired, and now it sits prefectly in my collection.
