    Guys,

    Looking for some help here.

I have a 60cm dish in place and would like to get my FTA channels setup. The dish was in place from my old sky account a while back but since left them. I'm been told that the old dish should automatically pick up http://www.lyngsat.com/28east.html and http://en.kingofsat.net/pos-28.2E.php. Thats Astra2 looked after.

I know RTE etc are not available here and i'm ok with the bunny ears reception for this.

If I want to add another LNB to the dish, do I need a separate box for each LNB or can 2 LNB's be connected to a single box ? Any box suggestions ?

Finally, whats the best sat for russian / polish channels ?

Had a look at places like flysat.com and lyngsat.com show you all the satellites but would appreciate user knowledge..

U can use one box per lnb now so 2 if u got 2 . Or 4 if u got a quad.
    .
You can get an ordinary free to air box and connect it up.
    .
Or freesat box and get hd etc example humax foxsat hd. Or a pvr version also available for your main tv

hi, most of polish channels are located on Hotbird 13E so must move ur dish :) (don't know about russian). to pickup signal from two satellites (Astra 19.2E and Hotbird 13E) all u need is a monoblock lnb (two lnbs in one integrated with diseqc switch, costs somethin around 40e in Malpins) and sat reciver with diseqc support

    Thanks Guys,

Best approach would be to have a normal LNB on the current dish getting the FTA channels and a new LNB (monoblock for Astra 19.2E and Hotbird 13E).

I have an old Sky Box and an old PVR Box, could these be used for the FTA channels or do I need a FTA box with the sat reciver with diseqc support.

Once setup, I assume I can wire these to various rooms (but will need a FTA box in each room) ?

You could set up 28E and a 13E/19E monoblock on an 80cm (or bigger) dish (I have 13E, 19E and 28E as 3 seperate LNBs on an 80cm myself, connected to the box through a DiSEqC switch). Otherwise, keep the 60cm for 28E, and get another dish (ideally 80cm I think) for the monoblock.

If you want the 13/19 monoblock going to more than one room, then you'll need either a dual or quad monoblock.

Sky box won't work with the monoblock.

Any FTA box should be able to cope with monoblocks or DiSEqC switches.

I don't think you can combine a monoblock with another LNB (eg, your 28E LNB) through a DiSEqC switch, which may or may not suit you.
