    I used to hear my granny talk about catching pinkeens...and its really annoyed me since as to what species she was actually referring too?

    is it minnow,or sticklebacks or young trout or salmon...any help would be great...its really tormenting me.

    Same as that, but then again i called any small fish i caught a pinkeen when i was a gosson:):)
    It was only when i started to get into fishing i started to recognise the fish but i stil called sticklebacks pinkeens
