1st fix carpentry is the roofing, stud walls door frames, window boars, etc. 2nd fix capentry is hanging doors, door stop, locks, handles, floors, etc

1st fix plumbing is putting the pipes in for the rads, and the showers and toilets etc. Basically just getting the work done for the toilets and heating that you cant normally see in a finished house.
2nd fix plumbing is putting in the sanitry wear installing the boiler fitting the kitchen sink etc.

1st fix electric is puuting the wires in the walls for the sockets and t.v ariels etc. 2nd fix eletric is fitting the sockets wiring up the meter box and getting connected to the grid.
