Heads up, okay you probably knew!

He got he licence back today and has 8 rides (!) scheduled for Friday on the a/w at Lingfield and Kempton.

Can't decide if every horse is nap or a lay!

Get on at 7/2 for him to ride 50+ winners until 31/12/2009 with William Hill.

    Smashing bet.

Nor is the 20/1 about him becoming champion jockey a complete no-hoper bet either ( or 7/1 to finish second to Ryan Moore).

Frankie doesn't have the hunger for a title anymore; Jamie has no stomach for a repeat struggle like the one he had with Seb Sanders a couple of years ago; are Hughes or Fortune credible title contenders?
Kieren wants to make a point by winning it. He rides out at Newmarket every morning for many trainers and will be going full tilt to win it.

Whatever the outcome, I look forward to his return on Friday.

I know what hes done but I've never seen him ride live. This all seems like the second coming. I hope it worth all the build up. It would be great if he came out all guns blazing trying to hunt down Moore but he cant catch him starting 600 rides behind. Will moore have to take an enforced sabatical or some thing?

I hope he comes back better than ever, which I think he will, but it'll be interesting to see how many 'big' rides he gets in the first few weeks!!

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 88,972 ✭✭✭✭mike65

I guess how he does on Friday will give us a clue, its not like he's completely out of practice I can imagine that Michael Stoute has facilitated some "competitive" gallops activity - Ryan Moore was sent on holiday recently - I wonder if they raced each other.

edit he has High Standing in the big race at Haydock on Saturday.

    High Standing
's a horse already on my shortlist...it just moved a little higher for Saturday though:P

will be great to see fallon back. Cant wait to see him get his first winner. I'm going to lingfield and kempton on friday, it should be a brilliant day, hopefully he gets a few winners

He was on SSN briefly today, and they asked him if he fancied any of his rides. The first one he mentioned was a ger butler trained horse in the last on Friday (Jadalee) and then the second one was his first ride back, its for some female trainer i thought he said; trainer reckons its a very special horse.

After checking the cards it was his second ride back he mentioned first, Kahail.

Nor is the 20/1 about him becoming champion jockey a complete no-hoper bet either ( or 7/1 to finish second to Ryan Moore).

He has no chance at all of becoming champion jockey this year as he's too far behind, but he may decide to have a crack at it next year.

Frankie doesn't have the hunger for a title anymore; Jamie has no stomach for a repeat struggle like the one he had with Seb Sanders a couple of years ago; are Hughes or Fortune credible title contenders?

Dettori picks and chooses these days, Jamie Spencer has said that his title battle with Seb Sanders took so much out of him that he doesn't plan a repeat. Richard Hughes is a jockey who could certainly be a contender if he really wanted to, and I think if Neil Callan landed a job at a top yard he could do it too.

I hope he comes back better than ever, which I think he will, but it'll be interesting to see how many 'big' rides he gets in the first few weeks!!

He has a ride in the group 1 at Haydock on Saturday, for William Haggas. It's quite well fancied too.

By the way he rides Youmzain in germany sunday. If anyone can get this boy to win it`ll be the fallon man. It`ll be one hell of a comeback:cool:

Id be stunned if he doesnt get a treble on his first day back, its just a case of which 3 :D

His 1st 2 mounts look like a quickfire double

The odds are bound to be cronic.

Powers are offering 4/1 for him to win an English Classic next season, which seems like a pretty interesting bet. Even after all his problems he's bound to get offered plenty of decent rides in the big races.

Just looking through the cards the following are running in. I'd say 2 of them look like probable winners, one could be but as it hasn't seen a track before might not be.

    Lingfield
2.20 Rare Malt (Trainer: Miss A Weaver)
    3.20 Roodee King (P Morris)
    3.50 Diriculous (T Mills)
    4.50 Satwa Gold (E Dunlop)

    Kempton
    6.20 Wigan Lane (P Howling)
    7.50 Arte Viva (G Butler)
    8.50 Bugaku (Sir M Stoute)

rare malt and the two year old arte viva would be his best chances i would say

The hype surrounding the Fallon comeback is massive. Its almost as if people expect him not to ride any losers. I remember a long time ago Stan Mellor the jump jockey was on 999 career winners and everyone was backing his every mount, even donkeys that had no chance on form were half the price they should have been. I suppose that is the problem with Fallon as well. All his mounts will be backed to the point where any value in the price has gone and the actual value will be with the other horses in the race. Remember, even if he is on flying form and getting all the mounts his strike rate is going to be around 25% at best and more likely under 20%......... that 3 out of 4........ or 4 out of 5 beaten. The value is in laying them all at bad prices. Get on the reality Train.

Fallon is the same as Kinane. Washed up! Before his ban he was continously getting horses into trouble during races, especially in France. Most of these won because they were very talented horses and were able to overcome the trouble not because this waster was on board! Have a look back at these races and you will see what im talking about.

LOL go off to bed there now for yourself before you fall and hurt yourself, and when you get up in the morning you can write down all you know about racing on the back of a stamp

Premierstone i know alot more about racing than you! I'm entitled to my opinion and i have seen Fallon get so many horses into trouble during a race to supplement my point.

Anyway here are the early prices

    3.50 Diriculous 6.00
    4.50 Satwa Gold 8.00
    8.50 Bugaku 6.00

KF mounts getting backed off the boards

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,430 ✭✭✭Sizzler

I did a lucky 15. surprisingly hard to pick which ones I thought would win though

    850 - Kempton - Bugaku 4/1
    450 - Lingield - Satwa Gold 7/1
    320 - Lingfield - Roodee King 5/4
    220 - Lingfield - Rare Malt 4/5

    €1 Lucky 15 pays €491 :)

Yes, where did I mention "THIS" year?

Sorry, you didn't. I think he's 7/2 to be champ kockey next year, and he has stated himself that he's going to go for it. Don't know if I'd be backing him at 7/2 though.

There's not many 'classics' though. There's the 2 guineas races, the derby, the oaks and the leger. Is that it or am I forgetting one? He will get good rides for sure though, a jockey of his quality will always be in demand and the fact that he's not contracted to any particular owner or stable means he can have his pick of whatever spare rides are going.

This young Fallon fella is handy, I did a very small speculative patent (50c!) on his last three rides at Leicester, 12/1, 14/1, 15/2 (the two last rides were picked up as another jockey wasn't availible I think) and he brought 2 home the third didn't place.
