cycle scene in Galway

    I haven't been on the bike in quite a while but am trying to get back into it. I have a good road bike but I was wondering what the cycling scene is like Galway. I was also considering chopping the bike in and switching to mountain biking, looks more fun and maybe beter than possibly getting cleaned off the bike on our roads!
    Are there many on here mountain biking or road biking around Galway. I dont' think I am up to the stage of doing 100km Sunday morning rides (in terms of time or ability) and really looking for something more fun.

    Are there many mountain biking trails around Galway?
