Want to connect to sky and already have a box- Rented premises

    Hi there,

    I'm hoping someone in here may have more of a grasp of the process than Sky do themselves.

    We move into rented accomodation over the weekend. The previous tenants (don't know them at all) were connected to sky. We have their account number and there is already a dish and box in place.

    When we asked sky about the way we should go about changing the name on the bill they were unbelieveably vague. We were shifted from pillar to post when we called with some people on the phone line saying this should be fine and others saying it can't be done.

    We don't need installation, we just want to get switched on under another name.

    Is this possible? How should I go about it?

    We dont want sky sports, only rte, sky 1, e4, sky news, sky sports news etc..

    I think its the variety pack and news pack.

    would ntl be a better bet?

    Ignore the equipment you have you dont have any warranty on it. Set up your own account apply for a new sky+ install €99
    either at your local installer shop or ring sky.
