Hi for the last 2 years i have been using the nike zoom vomero 3 shoe which i swear by!!!!! but as always shoe companies decide to change something that is not broken!!!!

So along comes the vomero 4 but before i go like a headless chicken and buy these i was wondering if anybody could suggest or advise runners of the same style or better still advise me against a particular shoe.

    Thanks in advance

I too am a massive Nike Zoom vomero 3 fan since I bought a pair last July

I bought another pair in spring and then, noticing that they weren't available anywhere I bought 2 pairs in my size in a Decathlon shop in France in July(discounted, presumably as have been discontinued)

since then I haven't seen the Vomero 3 anywhere, including last month in the one Decathlon in Stockport near where I lived in UK

But, I would be curious to see what the advice is as my stockpile's not gonna last forever

(I previously had several pairs of Nike Air Zoom Swift which seemd to suit me quite well - long since discontinued)

I'm a big fan of the adidas Supernova Cushion (now called Glide), quite light too.

I have been given conflicting advice by Amphibian king and the adidas pod thingy, based on the adidas foot scan I am a neutral, so I have been wearing the Pearl izumi runners the Surge+ and love them. I got about 700 miles out of my last pair. I'll be putting up a review at some stage on the testing gear thread. The guy from Pearl izumi does be on here now and again if your interested.

Thats why I buy most of my running shoes in tk maxx - last year's discontinued model at a fraction of the price of what the new one is selling at in the sports shop.

    Shoe award and review here

we will have some shoes going out for review in the coming Month of September so I will contact amadeus to confirm.

The Nike outlet shop in Kildare Village is a good spot for discontinued lines of Nike runners. Haven't been there is a while so dont know what they have but last time I was in they had a good selection of road and off road shoes at good prices.

I do know of people on a UK forum who got some pairs of these in a TK Maxx - I've never seen them in there--

in the unlikely event you're a size 14 there are some pairs available (size 14 only) on amazon and another UK site

if you're a neutral the pegasus would suit you or i'm just after getting a pair of lunarglides also suitable for neutral.before that i've been running on saucony triumphs a lovely shoe to run in if the lunarglides don't work out i'll be back to them.

pardon the ignorance, what do ye mean by "neutral" ?

I'd try out the asics nimbus and the mizuno wave rider. The wave rider in particular is a great shoe, load of cushioning, responsive and light enough for longer races.

basically your foot lands flat and doesn't turn in on itself.shoes for this have loads of cushioning.

I've just bought the volmero 4's. They're currently in wiggle postal space so I'll let you know when they arrive how similar they feel to the 3's which I loved.

I have a pair of Asics Nimbus, and maybe I got a wide-fit pair or something, or maybe they're sized different than other Asics runners, but whatever it is, there's way too much room around the front of them for me.

I had asics kyano's before getting gait analysis done and biggest mistake i made!!!! just got them cause everybody said they were the best runners to get!! knee's were in a jocker for about 6 months cuase ran everyday in them!!!

Has kinda turned me off asic's since. must try on the nimbus

Would love to hear your opinion of the vomero 4 hunnymonster if ya dont mind?

I'm a neutral runner and love the Saucony Triumph 6. I got mine in Amphibian King and that was the end of my knee problem. Never had any niggles since (touch wood), and from the reviews online it seems like plenty of others like them too :)

It really depends what type of neutral shoe you are looking for???
alot can depend on weight, distance you plan to run.
do you want to do you races in them???
    adidas-supernova glide
    asics-stratus(very light and lacking support)
    asics-cumulus and nimbus
nike vomero-most cushioned shoe on the market
nike pegasus-loads of club runner swear by it(stiff waffle sole)
pearl izumi-surge and syncrofloat both using the skydex cushioning system
    brooks-glycerin
mizuno-wave rider(light show with a very responsive feel
    new balance 1063
    saucony triumph
    so many to choose from............

I recently bought a pair of Asics Nimbus and went for first run in them today.. Found the exact same thing. Seems like theres far too much room at the front..

    I'm on the 1063.

outer sole wears out quickly (compared to the 1062)

Apologies but I'm just after realising that it's Cumulus 10 that I have and not Nimbus. Perhaps it is an issue with both models. Sorry to the original poster for misinforming you and also to Mr Nimbus Designer for slating your shoe!
