Defamation of Character

    Hi,

I am hoping that somebody here might be able to provide some help to me.

Following a decision to stop dealing with one of my commercial customers, I recieved several threatening phone calls, text messages and emails. A repeated threat was made to us to 'have us blacklisted by posting on every forum possible'. I have reported each incident to my local gardai.

True to their word, internet searches of my own name or my businesses name now provides results to various internet forums (nothing on boards.ie) with the same post, a completely fabricated story slandering our business name and professional capabilities. Several of these posts have been deleted, but I have kept print outs of everything published so far.

The person posting these comments has been accused (not by us) of being the company we stopped dealing with by other forum users, due to their post history.

I am hoping to take a civil action against the company, and am currently gathering all evidence available.

I am aware I can not seek advice here, but I hope it is possible for me to request a recommendation for any solicitor who deals with defamation of character, particularly anyone familiar with defamation on internet forums.

Any solicitor will be capable of dealing with this.
