Lidoderm Patches

Has anyone else out there been prescribed these but finds that they are useless? I'm a chronic pain sufferer after many years of spinal surgeries. Have endured almost every procedure (both surgical and non-invasive) for pain-management & nothing has worked. Have also spent the past 7 years in a drug-induced cloud.

Latest offering from Consultant No. 5 was a course of ketamine infusions along with Lidoderm patches. Having no hope left in me, I struggled to muster a "sure - lets try it!"! Needless to say, neither have worked. I spent a fortune on a 2 month supply of the patches but I feel like the same result would be achieved if I was sticking band-aids on my back. Hospital don't seem to believe me and I have been told, rather abruptly, that the success rate of the patches and the ketamine is very high. Was i being doubted again? No, that couldn't be possible! (note sarcasm). So, crux of my query is has anyone else experienced little or no relief from Lidoderm / Lidocaine Patches?

Many thanks, in advance, for any replies!
