    Hi there!

My bro got offered and accepted a place in DIT on friday and is starting his search for a place to stay now and i'm helping him (can't wait to see the back of him:P ) . His course is in Kevin st. Neither of us are very familiar with the area around DIT or possible suitable areas to start looking for a room.

Rathmines is the only area that has been suggested to him, but have been looking up places there and they all seem to mention proximity to UCD with no mention of DIT.

Can anybody suggest or give some info on the actual suitablity of rathmines and what other areas are popular choices with DIT (Kevin St) students?

Thanks inadvance and all advice appreciated:)

Well Rathmines is max 20 mins walk and min 10 mins walk from Kevin St depending on which part you're in. Harold's Cross and Ranelagh are other places along the canal that are close to DIT.

Another good bet is somewhere in Dublin 8, like South Circular Road, just make sure not to be too far from DIT (check google maps).

kevin street is not terribly far away from the st stephens green luas stop,so anywhere along there would be ok!

If you looking at the DITSU website, there are a few places they recommend. I hope it will help you.
