the tax I'd say! you'll get past a checkpoint with an NCT booking.

you don't need NCT to get tax
you don't need tax to get NCT

I'd worry more about the tax.
    (last time I checked!)

    Tax.
You dont need an NCT to get your car taxed.

i have a suspicion that you need to get the tax on the car before they will NCT it for you.

a mate of mine needs to have his tax changed on his jeep before they DEO it for him.

other way around, they won't tax it without a DOE.

    no seriously :)
he sent to DOE it and he was told that his isuzu (sp?) jeep was taxed as a commerical jeep with a cabin, but they wouldnt doe it for him until he changed it over to a commercial 5 seater or something along those lines.
tax is jumping from like 200 a year up to 1100 a year.

    looks exactly like http://images.autoexposure.co.uk/AETA33418/AETV62039688_1b.jpg
anyone else hear of this problem actually ?

Vehicle in the picture is a Mitsubishi L200 double cab. it's possible to tax these as wither a passenger vehicle or as a crewcab.
You can change the tax class on these from passenger to commercial handy enough.

not any more,to tax it commercial you are obliged to prove that it is being used in connection with your buisness and the persons being carried are employees ,you cant even carry family in the eves or weekends:eek:

For a normal car they'll do either without the other. You'll get it taxed quicker than you'll get it NCTd though!
