I'm waiting too - we tried the number earlier and a recorded message said the site would be updated "late" tonight.. so I'm compulsively checking on the half hour. I think it has been delayed because they had a glitch on Friday when the applications opened...
Being from the North is such a pain - I want to know!

Bleh. Now it says it'll be announced by 5pm tomorrow. Doesn't leave a lot of time to scramble for flats in a new city before class starts!

When I rang the office last week after not being accepted in the first round they more or less told me to start accommodation-hunting straight away because apparently the chances of getting in the second round are slim.
    So don't hold your breath!
    Good luck though :)

Damn, thought as much. Thanks :) Apparently they've reserved some places for Northern people who only got their offers on Fri, so I've kind of been counting on Halls. Time to start looking I suppose!

Same...going up to Dublin tomorrow to have a look around.
Apparently the student union have an accomodation information thingy going on all this week, so hopefully that'll be useful! :o

yeah i was there the other day an the SU are really helpful. Problem is that most places only offer twin rooms which isnt the best option when you dont know anyone whatsoever.

    Good luck with halls guys!
If you don’t get in, definitely pop into the SU for the advisory service.
There are loads of places available and a good few 1 bed flats even that are cheaper and closer than halls!
If you’re prepared to be matched up and share a house then you should be able to find a place with your own room alright.
The SU have their own listings for digs and renting, the herald is lying around, and there is access to all the renting websites and maps.

Good luck again with halls, and happy hunting otherwise!

Thanks a lot gamma :) I called my dad in a panic yesterday (he lives in Dublin and knows about flathunting!) and he said much the same - apparently its a good time to be looking because the demand has gone way down so its less cut-throat than its been in years. We'll know soon anyway. Thanks again :)

Seems to depend what you're looking for. Plenty of accommodation available but very difficult to find a single room.

I rang the Accommodation Office and they said the list is up at 5pm but it wasnt clear wheter some people who didnt receive an email might have received an offer?
