Crown advice

Hi guys, I was just wondering if anyone could help me. About 4 years ago my front tooth snapped off (tooth was left too weak after dodgy dentistry) and so for the last few years my tooth has been 'temporarily' pinned in. I getting more and more paranoid about the tooth falling out and not to mention the fact that it is completely discoloured and wearing away. I was told when I was getting in pinned in that I would need to get a crown and that it would cost me €800 to get it done. Like most people I don't have €800 so I was wondering if anyone could tell me if there is a dentist I could go to that would allow me to pay monthly or if I should go up the north...

I 'm not looking for prices or anything but if anyone could just advise me the best place to go...

Its just that right now there's so much other stuff I need done that I know the bill in my local dentist would cost me about €2500 and I tried the bank for a loan/credit card and they haven't been the most accomodating!

Sorry about the long explanation/question but I'd really appreciate any advise I could get on this! :(

Most dentists will allow you to pay some money each month if you both come to an agreement. If you need a bunch of other work done like fillings, I would get thoses done first to make sure the rest of your teeth are healthy. Where in ireland are you based?

I think it is best to develop a relationship with your local family dentist. You need to concentrate on prevention and need regular checkups. Go for a consult (your PRSI may pay for this) and see what needs to be done. Dont panic untill you know for sure what the story is. Dublin Dental Hospital is also worth a try.
