If this is in the wrong forum please move :o
A friend lives in Dublin and told me she gets rent allowance on her flat (she's renting with her boyfriend). She's a mature student and so am I. I'm moving to Dublin hopefully when I get a room sorted. So I'm just wondering are mature students entitled to rent allowance, does every landlord take rent allowance or should you find out before you rent somewhere? Thanks :)

all landlord's should take it, but a LOT of them wont.
sadly not much can be done. if they say no, then dont bother arguing.

contact your local rent allowance officer to see if your entitled to claim.
however, i think you might have to go to the rent officer in dublin rather than your home town. but this might be wrong.
