Apps purchase with gift card

    Can anyone tell me if I can buy apps through the store with giftcard credit. I've just been given over €100 worth of credit as a present and I'd like to buy the new TomTom software for my iPhone 3G.

    As far as I know you can, just click on Redeem on the right side of the iTunes Store page and enter your code.

    Yes you can, once you have redeemed your voucher and your balance is updated in iTunes any purchases made come out of this balance...

    Very good, what if I purchase from the iPhone app store through the phone ? Will it debit my credit balance ?

    yes indeed... through iTunes or from your iPhone (so long as you are using the same account) it wil come out of your store balance...

    One thing to note, a mate bought Co-pilot Sat Nav app and started downloading through iPhone but it popped a a message saying due to size best loaded through iTunes (he was using wifi on his iPhone as well)

    Thanks guys, it worked, downloading now. They were german vouchers so I had to change my location and download it from the german store. I just hope I won't have any problems when I change back to Ireland when I'm done.
