Ive decided to get my father a round of golf with myself and brother at a nice course. was also going to get him a club for his bag. Was thinking about a rescue club or 5 wood. What sort & make of club would be best and he has a tendency to curl the ball right to left (alot).

Is he left or right handed? Curving the ball right to left for a right hander is less common than the other way. If so then a quickish fix is to start to weaken the grip.

I'm a big fan of rescue woods instead of the 3 and 4 iron and they are easier to use from the fairway or rough.

What make - well choose anything from Titleist, Taylormade, Callaway, Mizuno, Cobra, MD Golf, Ping etc etc.

If he is right handed and he has a tendency to curve the ball right to left then don't get one that is "draw biased" as that will make it worse. If however he tends to slice/cut the ball then a draw biased one may help.

He is right handed. The swing and ball flight are a bit unusual! He has a callaway hyper x driver so i might check out and see if they have anything to match.

Don't worry too much about getting a club to match his driver; most people don't match their driver to their fairway or rescue woods.
