    Hi Guys,
Once again and another voip question:
i m not very new to voip but new enough. i start using voip around last year in November to just see how things are and now I have built my one small voip system using trixbox and I have tested it I can make calls (haven’t done anything yet with receiving calls and diverting to appropriate extensions).

My second task to attach some GSM gateway to my system so I can use voip through mobile. I found voiceblue voip gsm gateway but I think they are quite expensive. What I really want from gsm is to receive call and forward that to my trixbox over LAN. Can some one please recommend some other options???

My third task would be some sort of billing/call logging as i will sharing this system with other mats so again I m totally blank on this any idea or suggestion welcome

i m hoping my current dsl can accommodate 3 concurrent calls (i'm on bt 3mb)

My very old thread about nearly same question was but at that I was totally unknown to existence of voip usage so widely,
(I think I will endup with fully functional small voip system).

I've used a GSM gateway before. I used a Portech MV-372 and while it worked reasonably well some of the time, the Portech wasn't the most reliable and would sometimes stop working and need to be rebooted or even reset

I've never used the gateway you mentioned so cannot answer any questions on the quality of it.

Your setup seems feasable but tbh the savings you'll make using the GSM gateway are questionable unless you are running alot of calls. In some ways you might be better getting a phone that supports WiFi and VoIP for outgoing calls with it when you have WiFi access and hook into a VoIP provider who provide cheap GSM calls.

For incoming calls, if you want to do call thorugh you might be just as well off using the landline number.

    vHost,

if you want to receive calls on your GSM number and then get them forwarded to your SIP box, I think it would be cheaper if you forward your GSM to your landline number (or a DID number).this way you only pay cheap rates (and maybe free if you're on a plan like free meteor to Eircom landline)... I know this is not a very technical solution, but it would save you buying a GSM gateway, and learn all about it!

If you're trying to make calls from your SIP box to GSM, then it would be much cheaper to use a VoIP provider like Jumblo (5c/min for mobile calls in Ireland).

    Hope this helps.
