Irish O2 iPhone in London

    Hi All

    I am in London shortlywith my Irish O2 iPhone and want to avoid any scary data bills but would still like to avail of GPS and any free wifi.

    Can someone confirm what settings I can activate on the phone?

    Go to Settings -> General -> Network and make sure Data Roaming is set to Off. It is Off by default anyway.

    If you fancy, you can jailbreak and unlock your phone with ultrasn0w, then walk into a shop in the UK and buy a 3G SIM card and £10 credit. I did this before a recent trip to the UK, very handy.
