    Hi,
I am currently working a 3 day week and claiming jobseekers benefit for the other 2. My days have changed however and I will now be working 3 weeks on and 1 week off. Does anyone know if I need to re-register with the Social Welfare Office or is it ok just to put a letter from my employers in with my temp. dockets

because you are on the job seekers benefit already the worst is over as for paperwork and waiting times.

you just have to make them aware as i believe they have now done away with the slips. Its them who will contact your employer to update their file on you but the letter might speed it up a little.

I presume you are already claiming casual payments, and returning the new self certified dockets on a weekly basis. All you need to do is attach a letter from your employer detailing your new working arrangements. It's likely you will stay on dockets, and, as the social welfare week doesn't run from mon - sat, it will just be a case of you inputting on your dockets the actual days you work. Your payment will continue to be by cheque.

Not quite: there are still dockets for us to fill in, but the employer doesn't have to sign 'em any more.
