On the Limerick-Dublin road just before Dalys cross. My friend saw you go down but saw other people stop so he continued on.

Are you a boardie? Its the exact place I crashed just over a week ago. I might have a quick word to the council about putting up a sign to say just how dangerous those angled rails are to cyclists.

Passed through this road last week. Unless I'm mistaken there's already a sign visible to traffic coming from Limerick instructing cyclists to dismount and walk over the crossing. There may also be one for traffic going towards Limerick.

All I could see was a Slow sign. If there is a dismount sign then I definitely missed it.

yep that was my brother, cheers to the guy who stopped! It wasn't the rail crossing it was the rubbish road about 50 meters after it, he pulled in to avoid the car overtaking but his back wheel slipped down off the tarmac and sent him flying.

Tell him we are crash brothers. We both hit the ground hard in the same spot :)

Actually just talked to the guy who saw it again, he said the person who crashed went straight down on the tracks. Fellow was wearing red and his companion ahead was wearing white.
About 11-11:30 - Maybe there was more than one went down yesterday.

It must be another guy then because, my brother fell around 2 yesterday. It was raining heavy at the time and he tore up his knee and arm a bit, nothing serious though luckily! terribly dangerous for cyclists around there!

That is one dangerous crossing, cyclists are always crashing there. A guy from our club was doing the RAS back in the 90’s and was warning everyone about how dangerous this crossing was, especially as it was wet. He crashed himself and brought down half the bunch!

Yay! That makes it less my fault!
