    The odometer in my 99 Astra has suddenly stopped working. Why would this be and what should I do? The car is going fine.
    Excuse my ignorance of cars.

    Last time this happened to me it was a faulty speed sensor. Is the speedometer still working? If so, it may be a problem in the instrument cluster itself.

    Sorry, what do mean by instrument "cluster"?
