How do i go about getting a US store account? I've tried some options but the option to select none as a billing option has been removed.

    Anyone have any suggestions?

Goto the US store and try to buy a free app. It will then let you set up an account without a credit card. You will need a valid US address.

They don't charge it for internet sales though - at least not yet. I'm not sure which states do charge the sales tax for iTunes, Amazon, etc - I think New York and California do.
