drink prices?

I was down in Galway last week checking out accomodation with my dad. We decided to stay the night in Galway so ended up having a bit of a session. We were in quiet a few bars around the city. But i noticed the prices were quiet steep in my opinon. My dad was on pints of guiness and I was drinking pints of carlsberg. When paying for a round i think in only maybe 2 or 3 bars got more than €1 change from a tenner and in one bar got nothing back! From what i remember it averaged out at about €4.50 a pint.

Just wondering do some bars do special prices for the students, or have student nights where the drink is cheaper, etc?

    Thanks.

your a student!!! Don't bother buying pints when you are out! Just go to the offies like everyone! House Partys are the way to go! Unless this isnt your first year then your entitled to be civilised!

Hole in the Wall is €3 or 3.50 for a pint of T and Beamish, not too bad. Funnily enough you can get a cheaper pint in some clubs than any of the pubs. Rip off Ireland lives strong.

Do what myself and the lads are planning to do; go down the offie/tescos and get a stash of cheapish drink going, have a few drinks at home before you head out and have a good time rather than spending a fortune on drink

    New and revolutionary.

    New and revolutionary.

If you could show me the part of my post that suggested it was anything new or revolutionary, that'd be great :p I'm just answering to the OP, to whom the idea will probably be new by the sounds of it.
