This is annoying me but worrying me at the same time,

people, some I know and some of friends of my friends constantly say they are going to shave the hair off my head. Its annoying because, well why would they want to? But it also worries me because they go on about it anytime I see them? Its mostly women but there are a few fella's that say it too.

It's not like I've a big mop of messy hair, Its medium length and cut regularly and I've got a lot of complements about my hair and how it's style (people have said its looked like JD from scrubs or your man from Grey's Anatomy).

Why do people go on about shaving my head?! Is this just a another typical Irish thing were people are jealous or envy someone else?

Some men on holiday in Spain or somewhere once shaved a woman's head while se was sleeping, it was classed as assault and they got 6 months in prison. Just tell that to your so-called friends the next time they threaten it.

Id say they are just trying to rise you.

You are obviously quite proud of your hair
(people have said its looked like JD from scrubs or your man from Grey's Anatomy).

so its possible they think you are bordering on being conceited.

+1 , id say its just a wind up, theyre not gonna cut it but it probably annoys the,. Do you have what some people would consider an annoying haircut? You know those haircuts you see some guys with that annoy you because the haircut absolutely reeks of attention seeking.

tbh id probably class these as annoying haircuts. Call me shallow I dont care.

Just don't pass out drunk in their presence and you should be safe enough. That tends to be the trigger for ritual head shavings in Ireland!

not really, some of my other friends have longer hair, they get highlights, they GHD their hair and have it styled weirdly, they spend ages fixing their hair! i just grew mine a few inches about 2 years ago and I get all this stick and the others get nothing!!

and anybody who knows me knows I hate attention and I'm not exactly bubbling with self esteem

They could have only being implying you'd look better with a shaved head

But if you really really want to know the answer, instead of letting it bother you and trying to find multipal meanings to why you friend/s said this, Perhaps ask them why they said it next time they do,
I Bet you'd get a preety straight answer..

I'm fairly sure they say it because they know it bothers you and they get a reaction from it.

    That's how teasing works.

Yeah sounds to me like they're only messing. Wouldn't take it too seriously!
