Silver?Teapot with INOX

    HI, I have been asked to get info on this tea pot.It has a INOX engraved on it , among a mark that looks like a Y.Its like a Genies lamp type of pot with 57 stamped on the rim?
    If anyone has any info, can you let me know.thanks,cathy

    Dont think it's silver Cathy ,... sounds interesting though.
    Inox silver is plated i think , or sometimes even just "silver" in appearance.

    Quality control on silver is much higher than 57% in almost every country ,.... apart from middle eastern silver which usually dont bear hallmarks anyway.
    So i wonder is .57 a pattern number or so ?

    Id say , its not real sivre, but what? dont know.I took it to a jewler , and he didnt know what it was.Ill try adn take a pic , and get a close up of the mark.There is another mark on it, but I cant rally say what it is.
    Its one to keep our mind ticking over!!!

    "Inox" denotes stainless steel, that's as much as I know.

    Its stainless steel.."INOX" is a term for Inoxidible or stainless.
