This is taking it a bit far!
    Arrests in rugby roller incident

Police have arrested 21 men after a female rugby fan was crushed by a metal lawn roller as she slept in a tent.

The 26-year-old was taken to a hospital in Aberystwyth with head injuries but later transferred to Swansea following the incident in Aberaeron, west Wales.

The woman was a fan of a visiting rugby team, said police, who have appealed for witnesses to come forward.

The arrested men - all from the Merthyr area - have been released on police bail pending further inquiries.

Aberaeron Rugby Club was staging a sevens festival this weekend.

A Dyfed-Powys Police statement said: "In the early hours of Saturday 29 August, police were called to an incident in Aberaeron.

"It transpired that a large metal lawn roller, used on the rugby ground, had been rolled over a tent whilst a 26-year-old female occupant from a visiting rugby team was sleeping.

"Paramedics attended and the female was initially taken to Bronglais Hospital in Aberystwyth. Later she was transferred to Morriston Hospital in Swansea with head injuries."
