(deep breath :o) Hey all, I'm an incoming first year who has never set foot on Belfield.
On Monday I am kinda dreading, (after many hours of travelling on the oh so infamous public transport service of Ireland just to get to Dublin, finding bus 46/145/10/... somewhere on O'Connell street just to get to UCD!) finding Belgrove. Anyone kind enough to offer some fairly straight forward directions?

(One other thing...I read in another post that Belgrove should really be called Belgrade...is it really that bad?)

It is behind the library. Between the Library and the arts building is a small road. Follow this road and straight in front of you when you reach the junction is Belgrove. If you get lost ask someone to show you. It'll be no problem and you will find your feet eventually. Good luck.

the 46A and the 145 will drop you outside the montrose hotel which is on the opposite side of the N11 to the main gate. The 10 will bring you directly into the college.

Belgrove isn't that bad, its just not as pretty as roebuck or as nice a merville. It does have its advantages though, it's the closest to campus.

If you end up getting the 145 or the 46a, you just walk through the main gate and go straight. once you get to the main campus you go right until you're in line with the lake, then turn left along the side of the library. keep going straight and after you cross the road there will be an entrance to Belgrove.

If you take the number 10, turn right as you leave the bus and keep walking straight until you have passed the car park to your right. then turn right and walk straight. Belgrove is right in front of you.
