lead tape on putter

    i have a ping b60 original version putter.i find it very light and too east to bring off line and am thinking about applying some lead tape to it.i have a couple of questions about this

    1)would it make a difference?

    2)where would i apply it.b60_large.jpg

    (1) Yes it will make a difference

    (2) Try tape on the sole as Tiger does

    (3) Putting is all about feel, whatever your happy with

    You sure that's Tiger's putter L.O.F.T? There are a lot of replicas out there and I'm pretty sure Tiger wouldn't put lead tape on his putter.

    Was thinking of doing something similar to my putter just to see if additional weight will help particularly on the shorter putts.
    So where would you buy lead tape from?

    Try American Golf.......they don't have tape but they do have self-adhesive weights.

    Or try a pro-shop. They may give you a small strip.

    Try a glaziers shop or builders merchants for the lead tape, they use it for fake panneled windows. I bought a 5 yard roll of it a few years ago for 8 euro.
