I did this duathlon last April. Really enjoyed the event. I wont be able to make it unfortunetly due to work commits. Instead I have a nice 12hr shift that day. :(

I second Andrewf20 and also did this in April. Runs were 4.3k and 4.6k I think and the bike was 22k then.
I have a 20 miler run planned that morning so I have to miss this.
    But enjoy

    Anybody else doing this?
It's my second ever event and I'm hoping to get a time around 1.40 and maybe even sneak below 1.35 if things go right (100% right!!)
Might be unrealistic, but who knows

Anybody know about the bike course?
I thought it was going up the bypass and back but now it looks like 4 laps of somewhere

    Hey Dustybin,

The cycle course will be 1 lap.
If you goto the web site http://www.3rocktriclub.com/events.php at the bottom of the page is the google map of the 1 lap course.
The reason we changed it is because of the motorway upgrades.
You'll cycle the run route and join the N11 at coynes cross and then onto the turn off for Newtown and under the bridge and return back.
I'll be updating the briefing document on the web site tomorrow that has the old 4 lap bike course info so just ignore that.

    See you there!
Wont be racing it myself got a 20 mile run to do that morning.

    Keith

Well done to all involved in organising yesterdays event
2 or more marshalls at every junction all cheering and clapping every competitor around the course
Made me smile and the encouragement helped me get that bit extra out of my very tired legs

Was hoping to get a 1.35 before the race, came away with a 1.19 so very chuffed with that :D

Next 3 rock event I'm told is last weekend in April, count me in
