    Hey,

I'm looking for cheap (Cheap being the top priority) materials for building a basic Airsoft bunker. It doesn't have to be great materials or anything, just strong enough to withstand a joule.

The cheapest thing we've got so far is hay bales, 10 for 30£.

when you say "bunker" what exactly do ya mean? like a shed or something?

if so you could look into refridgeration units, their leak proof and have shelfing inside too, downside being, by their very design they wont lock, you'd have to add a bolt and latch yourself.:)

Emm, like a small delta base? (Fingal Airsoft).

Basically so we can play an 'attack the base' gametype.

And wouldn't refrigeration units be crazy expensive? Our budget is only around 20-60 euro.

for that low a budget you'll do well even to get ply wood to be honest, regridgeration units go very cheap second hand, you'd be talking maybe 150 quid and its like a vault. maybe you should get some 2x4s with scaffold netting and a few tyres or something, or you could buy a load of sandbags and fill em, sand is cheap.

and here I thought Irish airsofting was finally moving on from that kind of thing ...

You could try getting in touch with a recycling centre, they get masses of wood every day.

tarpaulin, rope, and a few wooden poles, unlike the netting, you cant see through the tarp, so it might be preferable...plus its waterproof and pretty damn cheap.... or you could use canvas

Delta could be made for 60 or a little more. I made a pillsuicide-box for HRTA out of some ply and a pallet for a base. AFAIK its still there, have a pic on the old HDD somewhere.

Some 2x4's and some MDF / Ply. I'm sure someone could lend you the screws, nails and hammer.

Make the investment now folks, or you'll spend the winter re-building it!
