Help with pigeon decoying

One of my neighbours barley fields is getting a right hammering from the pigeons. he has shot a few of them himself, but once a shot is fired they disappear. anyways he asked me to have a go at them, so i bought 3 shell decoys today and i also have 3 dead pigeons that he shot today. im going to have a go at them in the morning. what kind of pattern would ye recommend for a small number of decoys, and also any other tips would be greatly appreciated. (PS i have never decoyed pigeons before)

With three decoys you may struggle untill you get a few shot...Face your decoys head first into the wind around 30-35 yds away from your hide...each bird you shoot use as another decoy by propping it up with a stick or rock(try to keep it looking alive)and faceing into the wind. The more you shoot the more decoys you will get and the more birds will come....(hopefully)
Keep your decoys 30-35 yds out and arond 20yds wide... works for me
