have noticed on LiveSportOnTV our next home international is not in HD but the north's are.. of course they are commercially speaking 'of the UK' but is this why sky are not rolling out their HD cams for their coverage from Thomond in a fortnight, or because its a nothing match? ..

-more to the point can anyone tell me if they've covered us in over here in HD in the past just to quell an impending barrage of Q's? ta

    .. n wheres my avatar.

EDIT: avatar shows when logged out. hmm

"Republic of Ireland v Australia. Live on Sky Sports 2 at 7:45pm & Sky Sports 2 HD."

    should've googled first ;-

finne is this wrong? or just not updated yet

    http://www.livesportontv.com/football/

should list it as HD; it don't

Its in HD according to themselves!! A lot of these third party sites can get it wrong from time to time, the most accurate one I know is

    www.liveonsat.com

and his link also states its on in HD

    http://liveonsat.com/LJ_Sport_foot_friendy_intl.php

We'll not worry too much about this match, the big one is Cyprus this Saturday and according to LJ its not in HD but if you check out the sky sports live link above it says it is but I'd have my doubts about that one, can't see a HD feed coming from Cyprus, a lot of the England and Scotland away matches in qualifying were'nt in HD so I don't think they'll be pulling out the stops for us! And who cares what definition its in once we win!:D

Because a game is shown on the HD channel does not automatically mean it will be in High Definition. Lots of what they show is upscaled.

well.. heres hoping we win :o up against cyprus after all.. but erm ~ that won't be in HD for sure. even if it stated Sky Sports 2 HD in the guide

i hope they've not been doin upscaling jobs on us. don't like the sound of something claiming to be HD but not

i take it that is in effect :(

-it does indeed state HD. Sky Sports 1 HD - .. no way will that game/place be covered by Sky's HD equipment. which makes me believe LiveSportOnTV, my preferred option.. we'll see wha the craic is the weekend anyhow ;-

but if it is on HD - even upscaled - i will trust my source that bit less

The Cyprus v Ireland game on Sky Sports HD1 on Saturday shows in the EPG as NOT originating in HD.

they were right/you were right - it has changed on LiveSportOnTV a week in advance, SS2 HD listed now.

well we won.. :) but it was the definition of anti-football that did it - how does that scanger whelan get bragging rights to being the engine room of ireland.. any corkonian midfield maestros about? leaders - need another...

    fast...

No HD for the Cyprus match, thank god coz looking at Andrews and Whelan in SD was bad enough without seeing them in greater detail!!
We have a nutjob from Cork who refuses to play for us and I think everyone is sick of talking about him by now and we should all forget about him but something that baffles me is that Lee Carsley and Rory Delap are playing regular Premier League football and can't get into the squad, I'm not saying they're a Ronaldo or anything like that but they're a helluva lot better than some of the others currently in the squad and don't get me started on the Andy Reid saga...
The Trap is awful set in his ways but if he gets us there we can't really complain!!

shameless. can we have ronnie back pls
