I find the colour of the banner clashes with my browser hightlights, so I've disabled it. I also have no problem with how this forum is moderated. Guilty parties are banned and deported back to mexico.

What's the point of a secret mod? From what I've seen he's far more aggressive about the rules than the listed mods.

OP: you're being made fun of because you called them "cloaks" (a la Harry Potter). They are usually called gowns or robes, and the cowl you wear around your neck is called a hood. College gets most of its academic wear from Armstrong & Oxford, but a lot of other robemakers (eg here or here) will supply things to the identical pattern, and quite possibly better quality/cheaper.
