Cycle lanes and Zebra crossings

Are you obliged to cycle in a certain direction on a cycle lane? I have seen a number of cycle lanes where the two way cycle lane is at one side of the road. At a certain point they split and are at opposite sides of the road. Should I continue on the same side of the road or cross over to the opposite side? Also can cyclists use pedestrian crossing if they are on their bike? I have seen this happen quite a lot but I generally get off and walk across.

It should be clear from the signs on the cycle lane which direction(s) you are allowed to cycle, and you can get two-way cycle lanes. If a rwo-way lane reduces to one-way and another lane appears on the other side of the road, you are supposed to go over to the other lane.

No - if you want to use a pedestrian crossing you should dismount and walk across
