    Hi,
My Dad recently cut through the cable of his B&D hedge trimmer.
It didnt work once he put it back together. He wasnt sure if the wires were put back in the right place inside the hedge trimmer.

The circuit was broken, a metal bar inside was not connecting both handles together.

Anyway I got it working but what i am wondering is whether it matters if the blue and brown wires are in the Terminal block in a particular way.
    It works in both positions.
Dont want to cause an eletricution

    Thanks

Polarity prob isn't a safety issue with most double-insulated stuff.Terminals should be marked for you though ,as leads have to be maintained regular enough with hand-held equipment.Make sure you have 'working' rcd protection anyhow.
