Can anyone recommend a car dealership up north?

    Hi folks,

Looking at importing a car from NI and just wondering if anyone's got a dealership to recommend? It's a long trip up and it would certainly be a help if I had a couple of places to look up that people were happy with.

    Thanks!

If i were you, I'd search the web for cars you like. I'd also check down south, as there is no value left in the North anymore. Your more than likely going to get a better deal from the dealer down the road IMO.

    +1 to that
People automatically think that there's better value up north, or England. Research both places, and also factor in the extra hassle with importing.

    What kinda car you after?

I appreciate that, but for the budget that I have, there is no value to be found here. And I'm slowly losing patience looking at carzone.ie, rang several people to inquire, no answer on any of them, and nobody's returning calls when you leave a message.

I'm in a market for a cheap and reliable car for my long commutes, preferably diesel. NI market has plenty to offer, with almost the same prices as the UK and none of the hassle.

VRT has come down a lot for cars with low co2 emissions (which all of the small diesels are), and I figure on a 5k budget I can save at least 1k by going up north, and that's comparing a dealership with warranty against a private sale here.

So much talk about a recession, but even when you have cash to pay for something you can't find any value.
