SKY Remote code for LG M227WD anyone?

Hi all,

I'm looking for a working SKY Remote Code for the LG M227WD please. I've got one from here which allows the channel to be changed but not the volume to work

If anyone has this TV and is using it with a Sky remote I'd appreciate it if you could help thanks:D

Give Sky a call. I had a similar issue with a remote using the code provided by the Sky Active system. When I rang Sky they gave me a different code and it worked perfectly.

The LG codes that Sky have provided us to work with our newer television sets are;

0037, 0056, 0060, 0065, 0080, 0081, 0125, 0137, 0178, 0191, 0204, 0244, 0245, 0275, 0318,
0389, 0391, 0398, 0405, 0459, 0502, 0742, 1146, 1367. We also have some older codes;
206, 037, 060, 065, 080, 137, 191, 244, 245, 275, 318, 389, 391, 398, 405, 459, 502.
The codes are stored in a database of the Sky remote. If the above codes don't work
you may need to buy the latest Sky remote. Otherwise it is a matter of waiting for the
new Sky remote which may have the updated codes. Best regards, LG Electronics.

Note: LG Support supplied the following for Rev.8: 0206, 1293, 1665, 1174, 1176, 1219, 1280, 0857, 0851.

0178 worked for me with Humax Foxsat box

Finally got an answer to this today. Had a Sky+HD upgrade done last week, multiroom, LG 22" upstairs, Panny 42" downstairs, the installer told me LG tv's don't work well with sky boxes and NEVER have:eek: I can do everything on my skybox upstairs with my sky remote apart from the volume, I need to use the tv's remote for that. Just wondering if there are many boardies using LG tv's with sky boxes successfully including volume control

Press tv hold down red and select together until light blinks twice type 206 press select again.

Not sure what rev remote I have, just got it 2 weeks ago with my new hd box, will give these codes a try thanks!

Think the rev 8's are the new remotes, that's the one I have with my new HD box!!

I have an old rev 4 using on a different LG and went to the sky site and put in my details, this remote is too old for the tv, they want to send me a new remote and charge me for it!!

I have a question, I really only want to use the volume button on the sky remote but my sound is coming through a surround system! Can I set the remote to work it? (Targa)

AFAIK the rev 8 have been around a while with the sky + boxes, at least a couple of years.

If you just pop off the battery cover you will see a sticker with remote type you have.

@ scaller, brilliant thanks for that mate, now the volume is working with the tv on the sky remote. Probably has a lot to do with having the new sky+ hd remote, thanks again bud:D
