Heated underblanket and wetting child

    Hello,

We have a child who sleeps with his mother and often wets the bed.

The mother feels rather cold at nights, and would want to get a heated underblanket.

However, is it safe to put one down if the bed can be wetted?

Or, we could put a waterproof mattress protestor over the heated underblanket - would this be a safe enough option?

(I reckon the underblanket would not go as hot as to mlt the waterproof plastic but would even the moderate heat not cause some bad fumes from it? And would the underblanket be ok without ventilation)

Personally, unless the heated blanket is of a waterproof design then I wouldn't take the chance. I'd play it safe and use an old fashioned hot water bottle!
