Seeing as this years Spa practice times are about 3 seconds up on the fastest lap set at the circuit (Raikonen in 2002 with a 1.44), what do people reckon about the engine power in the cars this year?

In 2002 I assume that the engine power in Raik's McClaren Mercedes was close to the 900bhp mark but what do people reckon the highest powered engine in F1 is now?

    Close to 800?

Less downforce + slicks is making them faster?
Engine same or less than last year?

Untouched i think the engine coughs out about 750bhp, but with a bit of tinkering here and there throughout the season i'd say theyre at about 800 now...

The last season the 3 litre V10 was used, Honda almost broke 1000 bhp barrier. Now with the 2.4 litre V8 They started at around 750 bhp. that will surely go up during the season. But with the engine freeze the gains won't be big.
