It's simply product branding, makes it easy to [a]remember the name and who sold it to you, everyone does it. Why do you think Mcdonalds tries to get that Mac sound into as much of their menu as they can - Big Mac, McChicken McNuggats.

Think its just the word too, what marvel means and how it sounds, like DC has the marvel family in their universe, dont think they are making any references to the company Marvel

It's a 60's language thang. Plus it was a way to show these females can be heroes have powers too.

I think most Production companys and big named studios loke to get there name into there movies. Sure as far as i know every movie name has its title said at least once in the movie. So why not Marvel do it

It's usually either the legacy of having a character who was created in the 60s/early 70s or one of these stupid attempts to hark back to the good ol' days of campy superheroes. Hence having a new character introduced recently called The Blue Marvel, alongside Marvelman, Marvel Girl, Ms Marvel and god knows how many others.

Well the Leader of the Fantastic Four is called Mr Fantastic so I would have to agree that it might just be a 60's thing.
