Using an Automatic search in non freesat mode. When searching for fta channels why do Channels like Racing World and uktvfood keep being found when there not fta ?

You can pick up any encrypted channel even things like Sky Sports/Movies and the Discovery channels. But as long as you don't have a subscription or appropriate viewing card, you will get an error message.

It happens when channels aren't currently broadcasting, eg. if their broadcasting hours are 9am-9pm and you do a search at 10pm it will pick it up.

This happens quite often with the kids channels if you do a search at night as most of them are not broadcasting then.

Thought it was only Northern Irish and Scotish postcodes that gave this problem.
Itv London on 977 gives access to Itv HD anyway.

    No.
Freesat receivers cannot pick up these streams seperately, like a Lidl or other receivers can.

With Itv1london on 977 selecting a different postcode gives you an extra channel ie Utv, Itv1wales on freesat mode.
    .
I have mine on A swansea postcode now. Not sure what is the best region to have.
