    Hi,

I am getting sky installed and want a second satellite feed (lnb) if its possible?
I know it depends on the satellite location, but would a sky engineer do this for
an extra fee? Or will they only do what's ordered even if you pay them extra on the day?

Depends on the installer (engineer is an often abused term) , theres no way to know beforehand

Thanks. Technically though would it be possible to receive 16 or 19.2 east along with sky's 28.2 or would I be wasting my time enquiring?

Waste of time I'm afraid as the dish is not suitable (you need an 80cm) , the guy will not have the extra equipment needed and usually sky installers would not have that leveal of expertise.

this scenario.. if u are having a HD and two standards installed, thats a quad with all 4 slots occupied. if you says to the guy "i am having a HD box in this room 2-3month, can you prepare he cabling in advance.."

an octo and 3 slots free - surely they'd do it though?

Perhaps but that will not get the OP 19.2 or 16 East

Your welcome . Most sky installers are pretty badly paid in my opinion so I'd say you would be unlucky to get a guy that did not want to do some extra work for you in terms of extra feeds. Bear in mind too that you will need a second receiver in addition to the sky box to pick up astra 1, hotbird etc as the sky box is pretty limited in this regard

Thanks for all the advice. Sure I'll ask when he calls in advance. Nothing to lose I suppose!
