    Hi Gavo, I did the undenominated science last year and to be honest didn't bother with the books as most of us didn't. Most of the lectures notes are given on blackboard and the library and internet was sufficient enough for study purposes

    I just ordered my chem book on www.gettextbooks.com but they are all so expensive, I dont think I'll get anymore and just use notes. I want to be able to eat!!

    I bought all my first year books, never opened them. Some lecturers almost insist that you buy them, but they are generally pointless. I find that a lot of lecturers copy and paste sections from the book into their notes.

    Worst comes to the worst, you take the book (or a similar one, they all have the same content at that level) out of the library for a week.
