What do you believe is the best option for recording at the moment?
I have access to Irish Analogue and DTT as well a the British stations through freesat which I'm sure is similar situation to a lot of people.
I'm sorely tempted to go for Sky+ just for PVR functionality - I'm not interested in anything other than the channels I'm receving already.

Why not get Freesat PVR - no need to subscribe to any package to use it. Carries out same functions as Sky+.

Plus Dunnes €99 DVD recorder for the four analogue channels. DTT will not be reliable/stable till officially launched in 2010 (maybe Q3 or Q4).

Humax Freesat PVR. Sky+ won't even playback free channel recordings if you cancel sub, nor record "other channels" at all.

We have a Humax Foxsat box on Freesat and it does everything a Sky+ box does...FOR FREE!...that is except pick up the Irish channels.
