Anyone any thoughts on a UK LD3 fire alarms. For apartment blocks

Have been looking at 2 UK projects and in both cases the landlord areas have smoke/BGU and sounder systems.
The apartments have domestic 220V combine heatdetector/sounder and smoke detector/sounder (linked) however there is no link between the two systems in one case, and in the other case there is an I/O unit for the LL system in each apartment to be connected to the linked domestic units.

There is no sounder or detection form the LL system in the apartments in either development.

As we know the system here would be a landlord heat detector and sounder (maybe even 2 sounders) from the LL system in each apartment, aswell as the domestic linked heatdetector/sounder and smoke detector/sounder units.

Anyone any thoughs on this, I think it is unusual that there are no LL sounders in the domestic units, anyone any experience of this?

    Thanks in adavnce.

i haven't that much knowledge of apartments. But for 'early warning',there should be at least a sounder and detector in each apartment connected to main fire panel( +apartment mains alarms). This addressable system has multi stage alarms(pre alarm feature) to prevent nuisance. http://www.rafikiprotection.com/assets/docs/downloads/sita%206p%20cat1.pdf .The alarm system would prob. be totally integrated in this case.
