Is it true that with a medical card you can only get eye tests every 2 years, otherwise you aren't covered and will have to pay?

yep this is usually the case. However on the form you fill in it asks if your last eye test is within 2 yrs, why do you need another one. Well its not worded like that but it gives you an area to explain why you want another one and another set of free spex if needed and why they should give it for free.

So circumstances like you broke your glasses and your prescription is really high etc
Sure ya can fill it in and state your case, they can only say no :)
