Here is the official report on Clan Wars 2 on the ISKA website, an extended article is also going to fighters magazine.

There will also be a report done from Lee Hasdell ( UK MMA veteran,former three-times British kick-boxing champion and World Octagon shoot boxing champion in 1996)

Lee is UK MMA director for the ISKA and will be doing a report on Irish MMA with the ISKA as the first Irish world governing sanctioning body through Clan Wars Promotions.

He will be talking of the standards required for ISKA events, how safety issues and proper planning are important to promote MMA with quality shows.
He will also talk about how the ISKA events will tie a lot of Irish/UK and other European countries together better, letting talented fighters progress through the ranks quicker and opening a lot more doors for them.

There will also be a report on Urban Krav Maga and how it can cross over easily to MMA and vice versa. There is a new Krav MMA dvd out from UKM’s chief Instructor Stewart Mc Gill and 6 Times BJJ Champion & UKM Instructor Leo Negao. FIRST IRISH ISKA FULLY SANCTIONED PROFESSIONAL MMA COMPETITION

DATE : Saturday 6th Feb 2010

LOCATION

Armagh City Hotel, seated capacity 1200 -1400 :

Selected due to its location near the boarder to accomadate teams better from the south of Ireland yet still in reach of the Northern Clubs.

It also has the largest Conference Centre in Northern Ireland sporting -

· 6 Large Projector Screens
· Capacity circa 1200+ fully seated
· Plasma Televsions in the lobby featuring the event
· 3 Bars, one with another projector screen of the event
· Full professional prep rooms including changing rooms with showers, access to punch bags, matted area and cardio equipment

EVENT BREAK DOWN :

First fully sanctioned ISKA Irish Pro Contenders Championship

· 6 Full Professional Rules MMA bouts (See Blood tests)
· 8 Amateur C Class Bouts

Fighters are invited from every Martial Arts Club in Ireland to put their fighters forward for the fight card selection to make the title fair and also so everyone is aware.


RULES:

Because the ISKA MMA sanctioning for the UK / Ireland is relatively new the head directors (Paul Henessey and Lee Hasdale) are compiling official UK/Irish ISKA MMA rules. There is no if's / buts or questioning about the rules, they are official and will be standard across the UK and Ireland for ISKA events. Everyone competing at an ISKA event must adhere to the rules.

BLOOD TESTING:

As part of the ISKA full Pro rules with knees and elbows to the head a blood test must be carried out to ensure negative results for the testing of HIV/AIDS and Hep A/B dated within 30 days of the event.

As a quality event Clan Wars Promotions are in talks about covering the pro fighters blood testing, this will mean all professional fighters of the event will meet at an allocated location for their tests 3-4 weeks before the event, a deposit will be taken from the fighter for the test on the day and will be returned to the fighter along with his purse on the night of the event. If the fighter does not show or pulls out the deposit goes towards the cost of the test.


The blood sample may also be used for random drugs testing.
