Theres been a lot of fuss about the lack of linux support on PS3 slim...how much of a big deal is it?

*Actively* ... meaning you boot linux at least every three days!

I don't even know how to do it, I think my brother tried but gave up in the end..I have always wanted it though to see what it is like...

Anyone have any tips on how it is done? I don't have a clue :(

I installed it when I first got my 60GB model as at that stage, it didn't play many of the video files I had. I also wanted to do it just to know I could really.

When I upgraded my HDD, I left it out and probably will not bother to install it again.

No as i dont have a monitor or HDTV so it looks horrible. Its not a great loss for most people.

I installed it as soon as I got my 320GB. I've never used it since and may never. However, it's there and fully configured, if I need it.

I installed Linux right away, but was quite unimpressed that you could only allocate 10 GB of disk space to it (or at least I couldn't figure out how). Pretty soon I decided it was not worth the trouble and formatted the drive without linux.

Not now. In fact I got rid of it recently enough. I did use it daily when my PC broke (before I entered the cult of Mac) to browse the web etc.

Same. I'm just waiting to get a larger hard drive for it and I'm going to install it on.

I installed it as I meant to do some development on it, but ended up just using a cell blade instead, since they jewishly only allow use of 6 SPEs by applications, which is a bit rubbish.
